This morning we had an assembly about Emma Twigg.  It was cool first we watched a short video of Emma winning to gold medal and Emma failing. Then we watched and sang the new zealand national anthem. She said that if you believe in reaching your goal you have to work hard to accomplish that goal. She also said that it was an honor to represent New Zealand and to win the gold medal finally and the twenty years of training paid off. Then we asked Emma some questions about her. Have you seen Emma race? 

what i am grateful for

 I have been working on this post for the last few days. It is about what I am grateful for. Here is a link to the google drawing about what i have been working on.

link in my class we have bean writing about the olympics and what happened so the link at the start is a link that leads to what i have wrote. Emma was in the fourth row. Then she started to row along with everyone else. She was in 3rd but then she packed up a lot of speed and she was in first. She was rowing heaps while still in the lead. There was the finish line where she won and there was a fish that came out of the water. The fish wiggled like a worm. The fish came flying out of the water. It splashed water all over Emma and the fish did not get a medal. One time Emma twigg lost by not even a second.

my math work

in my class we have been learning about place value.

here is a link to the math slide that i have been working on for the last few days. if you go to slide 6 you will see that there is heaps and heaps of numbers but there not just numbers i had to write how much the underlined  numbers is.

all kids should play sports

All kids should play sports.

sports get you running and running is good.

Gets you off screens.

Chess helps you with strategy and maths apparently.

If you are super good at sports you could go to tournaments.

Playing sports is fun for some people.

Sports are good for you.

Sports are healthy.
